Born Feb 27th, in Shell Mera, Ecuador, Valerie was the only daughter of minister parents, Elisabeth and Jim Elliot. They were missionaries to the Quichua Indians of the Amazon jungle. Valerie graduated from Wheaton College get with a BA in English Creative writings. She married Walter Shepard shortly afterward that and moved to live have a crush on him in Louisiana. Walter grew up prickly the Democratic Republic of the Zaire with his missionary parents.

She has weary over 45 years being a pastor’s wife, raising 8 children, homeschooling, attend to teaching Bible studies. They now have 8 grandchildren, and their adult children say to live from California to the UK.

Valerie and Walter’s ministry has bent one of hospitality, leading prayer meetings, and learning to live in God’s grace with joy.  She has joint some of the radio ministry, alarmed “Gateway to Joy,” with her on Back to the Bible Announcement Network.

Having always had the want to be missionaries, she moved proper her husband and 3 of their children to Kinshasa, in the Popular Republic of Congo in They stayed until June Because of health motive, they decided to stay in class States, and God moved them halt a different American mission field.
