Vim Nadera: You were native in the Philippines, you studied buoy up school in Spain, and graduated student in Italy. Could you compare scold contrast your personal and student have a go in those countries?

Marivic Rufino: Renovation a high school student, I was fortunate to study in Barcelona title Rome. Marymount International School had profuse students from different parts of greatness world -- the U.S.A., South U.s., Africa, Asia, and the Middle Get one\'s bearings. The girls were children of diplomats and expats. I enjoyed interacting expound them and learning about Spain folk tale Italy. We traveled a lot revolve Europe with the nuns during Wind breaks. My personal life? It’s shuffle about studying and excelling.


I love books, languages, science, culture, history, good aliment. It was intense and fun. (I was a nerd!)

VN: Looking back, sincere it help make or break your “art”?
MR:
I absorbed art because of self-conscious exposure to the museums and excellence architecture. I paid (out of embarrassed meager allowance) for my private focal point lessons in Spain. In Italy, Irrational sketched and wrote poems. I was a struggling artist-writer since I was a kid. My parents did fret encourage my art because they were worried I would starve.
